We know the farm operations keep you busy, so we make it as quick and easy for farmers as possible — we try to take less than 30 minutes of your time each month! Once we get you onboarded, we’ll have a few quick questions for you as we get your numbers reconciled each month. If you want to dig in deeper, we are available to review your numbers with you each month.

We start with an introductory call to get to know you and your farm business. We’ll then collect the data we need (e.g., existing financial records, tax returns, bank statements) and ask you follow-up questions as we get started. Depending on the complexity and the current state of your books, onboarding can be as quick as a week or as long as a couple of months. There is an onboarding fee for most farms. These fees range depending on the current state of your books; the average farmer pays $250. We will waive this fee if your books are already in good shape.

Yes, we can file taxes for our bookkeeping farmers. You’ll first need to be on one of our bookkeeping tiers so your books are clean and ready. From there, we prepare and file your farm’s Schedule F and related farm business forms. This service is focused on the farm operation only.

Tax filing for bookkeeping farmers starts at $400.

We keep only the data we need to provide our services. We do aggregate and anonymize farmer data, with your permission, so that we can help other farmers better. We do not sell or share your data outside of Good Agriculture.

We believe in flexibility to best serve our farmers and agribusinesses. All our pricing is a la carte, meaning you only pay for the services you need. If your business needs change, you can pause, cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your plan at any time without any penalties. We want to ensure you have the freedom to adapt as your farm grows. If you ever have questions or need help adjusting your plan, let us know.

Your monthly pricing is based on a few things such as the number of transactions and revenue we handle for you. We reassess every 6 months to see if any adjustments are needed. This way, your pricing reflects the actual work required and stays fair as your business grows or changes.

Yes, once you re-activate your services, we’ll charge you $20 per 100 transactions.

Yes! All of our financial services plans include a free subscription to either Xero Cashbook or QuickBooks Ledger, it’s your choice. Both options are designed to simplify your farm bookkeeping with automated bank feeds and helpful reports.

Xero Cashbook is great for farmers who want simple, automated bookkeeping without the need to send invoices. You’ll get daily bank feeds, transaction matching, and reporting tools. It’s ideal if you’re tracking your income and expenses and want an easy way to reconcile your bank activity. This doesn’t allow for you to send invoices, if you need that, you’ll have to upgrade to another tier.

QuickBooks Ledger is a simplified version of QuickBooks that helps with bank feed automation and reporting. It’s perfect for keeping track of what’s coming in and going out without the need for advanced features like invoicing or payroll.

If you need more features, like invoicing, inventory, or payroll, we’ve got you covered! You can upgrade to a higher-tier plan at a 30% discount through our partnership. We’ll help you figure out which plan is right for you.
