Yes! Digital Farm Hand is new, and we’d love your feedback as we keep building it out. The idea has been in the works for over 10 years thanks to our co-founder and farmer, Kirsten Simmons. Now we’re making it real and we want to make sure it works well for ALL farmers.

Digital Farm Hand is ready to use, and we’re still adding features and making improvements. You may notice occasional glitches, but we’ve built a strong foundation to get you started. That’s also why the first 50 farmers can try it for just $5/month—we want your feedback to help shape what comes next.

Your data is yours. Right now, we use it only to keep improving the product. Sometimes we may use phrases or examples to make the system more accurate for all farmers. We don’t sell your data or share it outside our team.

 

In the future, we may build features that use data in new ways—like linking operational records with financial tools, or sharing anonymized insights to track pest and disease spread. If we add options like these, you’ll always be informed and have the chance to opt out.

Having an easy way to collect and review records is just the beginning. Farmers have already shared ideas we’re excited to develop. These ideas are a work in progress:

 

  • Base Module – mobile access, photos, reminders, search by activity, reporting, and more.
  • Labor Module – suggested by farmers! Track and assign tasks, capture labor hours, and analyze what it takes to grow each crop.
  • Sales Tracking Module – connect field work with sales channels, deliveries, and even consumer access if you want it.
  • Organic Certification Module – suggested by farmers! Capture logs for inspections and export them in the right format—no scramble before the inspector arrives.
  • Food Safety Module – capture wash/pack actions, log cooler temps, and keep food safety records export-ready.
  • Agronomist Module – bring together soil tests, weather, and crop logs to suggest proactive solutions for farm challenges.

 

We want your ideas too.

For the first 50 farmers, Digital Farm Hand is just $5/month for the first year. After that, the Base Module will be $25/month. Additional modules will also be $25/month each—so you only pay for what you need, when you need it.

 

For example: Base + Organic Certification = $50/month. Add Labor for a season while you’re testing workflows = $75/month total. We’re committed to keeping pricing affordable for farms of all sizes.

Right now, we’re especially looking for diversified fruit and vegetable farmers who are interested in testing new tools and giving feedback to guide development.

We think Digital Farm Hand can be useful for all types of farms, not just fruit and vegetable operations. If you raise livestock, grow row crops, or run another type of farm, we’d love to work with you to adapt the tool to your needs. That may mean extra conversations, early feedback on mockups, or testing new features—but your input will help us make DFH work across farming systems.
